I decided last week that I wanted to do something special for the grandboys for Halloween. Given that I dread taking children trick-or-treating, I had the idea for a lunch. Since J goes to school near me and R and the younger boys come here until time to pick him up, it seemed perfect to me. Then Gigi and Grandpa (my mom & step-dad) wanted to get in on the fun too... YAY! So I picked up a little Halloween goodies cookbook from the grocery store and set out to create some Halloween treats. Let me just say that I was true-to-form in that I bit off more than I could reasonably chew. But it's always that way, I cannot do anything in moderation when it comes to the kitchen. I was up until 2am making cookies, deviled eggs, meatballs... you get the idea.
I was so happy with the results though, it was worth every minute and both sore feet. Everyone thought the food was adorable which says a lot when it was in the presence of three most adorable little boys. Here are my Halloween Party pics --
